Sarah Miller & Partners was commissioned by Aqua Restaurant Group and Bacchus PR to curate the 2019 Christmas ‘Tree’ for aqua shard, the celebrated restaurant located on the 31st floor of Europe’s tallest building. We asked the renowned British fashion designer Holly Fulton to create something special for aqua shard’s expansive and dramatic space. The result was “Deco Dance”, which animated the festive season with the decadent and glamorous party spirit of the 1920s.

Standing six metres high, in the restaurant’s three-storey atrium, the large ‘Bow Tree’ featured Holly Fulton’s signature print design. It was surrounded by glamorous ‘party ladies’ and Christmas presents that were inspired by the playful aesthetic of Busby Berkeley’s musical productions from the Roaring Twenties. Fulton’s iconic drawing style was brought to life with the party in full swing, toasting the season with glasses of Veuve Clicquot in hand.
